This thesis addressed the rationalization of consumption based on Islamic texts and jurisprudential principles that establish the lawful rationalization of resources, and warned against the waste of economic resources, and guided towards proper ways of consumption.

On the practical side, it highlighted the experience of the United Arab Emirates on the economic, environmental, and social levels in rationalizing consumption and measures; where the country organized several projects, conferences, programs, and campaigns that aimed at reducing widespread extravagance and the necessity of rationalization.
